Abstract: Description of experimental studies on the change of the strength and reliability properties of welded joints, which suffered to prolonged corrosion. To achieve this aim, the following problems were solved: the current state of the problem, existing theoretical and experimental research were analyzed; experimental research of samples was carried out to determine their physical and mechanical characteristics under the influence of various aggressive environments with a certain time interval of action; experimental research of laboratory samples was carried out to determine the ratio of the strength reserves of the elements welded to the welds themselves.
